Will Rhino-Rack RTC Tracks Fit 2017 Ram 3500  

Question:

I pull a 5th wheel with my Ram 3500 naked roof, carry our bikes on a front bike rack and need to carry two kayaks on the roof. The temporary Yakima rack mounts allow water past the door seal. I want a permanent square Rhino rack to replace the Yak racks. Will the RTC16 mount directly to the roof? Also, I need to use a Hullivator so need a 71 inch bar to clear the door.

Yes, you can use the Rhino-Rack RTC-Style Roof Rack Tracks # RTC16 on the roof of your 2017 Ram 3500. I do recommend using a sealer like the Loctite # LT37467 to help make sure the holes you'll be drilling are properly sealed.

The Rhino-Rack HD crossbars are great for heavy loads and such but the T-Channel they offer is a bit larger than the standard crossbar system. So much so that the Rhino-Rack products have to use a specialized adapter to fit the HD bars. For this reason I recommend using the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars instead as they will fit perfectly with the Thule Hullavator # TH898. The Vortex bars do come in a 71" configuration with the legs you need as the kit # RRVA180B-RRRLT600.
