Wireless Brake Controller for a 2020 Ford Transit T250 w/ out a Plug in Harness
Question:
I have a 2020 Ford Transit and I cant find any brake controller factory plug on my van. I dont think it has one. I need a brake controller. Why couldnt I just tap into the brake light switch and use that as a input to a aftermarket controller?

There are no plug in adapters for the 2020 Ford Transit T250 so you will either have to tap into your van's wiring harness or use a wireless brake controller like the Curt Echo item # C51180. This Bluetooth-enabled brake controller wirelessly connects to your smartphone. The compact unit plugs in line with your 7-way trailer connector completely eliminating the bulky controller on your console and the hassle of wiring. This is a proportional brake controller that automatically adjusts your trailer's braking based on the deceleration of your van. I have linked an installation video.
If you would like the reassurance of a physical manual override button then you will also want the Manual Override Button for Curt Echo Brake Controller item # C83HR.
