Both the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13144 and etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98839 are class III receivers that will fit your 2018 Subaru Forester 2.5i. Both receivers will have the same weight rating of 525lbs tongue weight and 3,500lbs trailer weight. Be sure to check with your Subaru dealer for your weight capacities and do not exceed the lower of the 2 sets of numbers.
The only difference in these receivers is the powder coating used. Our etrailer receiver # e98839 will use a matte black powder coat that I find matches best with the matte black trim panels. For me it also gives it a more factory look as the Curt # C13144 with its gloss black powder coat really stands out under the rear bumper fascia. I have linked installation videos for both below that will help you see the difference when installed.
