I'm going to assume that you are wanting to add a 7-way to your 2011 Jeep Liberty. You will first need to install a Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118554 if you do not already have a 4-way flat connector on your Jeep. Then you will be able to add the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. This will connect to the 4-way flat connector for the lighting and the additional wiring for a brake controller as well as charge line are also included.
I have linked installation videos for both of these components below. In the # ETBC7 kit they do install the Curt Venturer Trailer Brake Controller # C74VV which is a time delay brake controller that takes up a lot of room on the drivers dash area and is not the most user friendly. A better option would be the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR. The main unit for the controller is mounted behind the dash with only a small area needed for the control knob that will mount to your dash. The controller is also proportional so once you have it set the first time it will adjust for light and severe braking automatically. A Universal Wiring Harness # RED69FR is needed to complete the installation on the Redarc Liberty brake controller.
