Why Do I Need to Attach the Power Wire to the Battery with the # 118534 on My 2015 Town and Country?

On the wiring kit that I just put on my 2015 town and country Why did I need to run the wire to the battery I’ve never had to do that before

This wiring harness require a connection to run the wire to a battery because the electrical system on your 2015 Chrysler Town and Country cannot handle the amperage draw from the trailer lights.
