The Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # 24819, will fit the 2007 Yaris Sedan and 3-Door Hatchback, but not the 5-door hatchback. I have included a link to an installation video for this hitch and also one to our main page for hitches for the 2007 Yaris. At the top of the page there is a drop-down menu (Select Vehicle Style) that will enable you to narrow the hitch results to just those suitable for your particular Yaris.

All of the hitches we offer for the Yaris are Class I types intended for light-duty use, such as for attaching a bike carrier or cargo basket. Based on my research the 2007 Yaris is not rated for towing (nor are certain other Toyota models such as the Prius). You will want to refer to your owners manual or speak to a local Toyota dealer for guidance before attempting to tow any trailer. Your Toyota dealer can provide information regarding any potential engine or transmission damage from towing with this vehicle.

If you confirm that your Yaris is in fact rated for towing you will then need to know the combined gross weight of the jet ski and its trailer. You will also need to know the loaded trailer tongue weight (tongue weight is the downward force applied to the hitch by the trailer). It is very important that these two hitch ratings be observed. The two linked articles will help you with this.

Towing a trailer also requires a wiring harness to connect the vehicle light functions to the trailer lights. The harness for the 2007 Yaris is part # 118517. A ball mount, hitch ball and a pin and clip are also needed to secure the ball mount in the hitch. Draw-Tite offers a ball mount # 3593 that includes the pin and clip. You will need to select a hitch ball of the correct size to match the coupler on your trailer. If your trailer uses a 1-7/8-inch size you can use part # 19256. If it uses a 2-inch coupler you can use hitch ball # 19258.
