Recommended Underbed Hitch For A 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500
Question:
If my truck does not come with the prep package can still get a puck system hitch? I want to be able to remove it and have a smooth bed without rails sticking up.

To get an under-bed puck system you would need to take your new 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500 back to GM and have them install the system, which can be quite costly and time consuming and there isn't really a guarantee that they will actually install it for you.
Another option that would be more cost effective would be to install a B&W Underbed hitch like the # BWGNRK1020-5W. This would give you a clear bed when not towing and allow you to tow both a 5th wheel and gooseneck trailer.
To tow a 5th wheel you'll need a Companion hitch like the # BWRVK3500-5W, which will drop right into the underbed hitch. Since you have a 6-3/4' bed I recommend getting the sliding version # BWRVK3400-5W which will give you an extra 12" of turning clearance to prevent the nose of your 5th wheel from coming into contact with the cab of your Silverado.
