How To Wire The Voyager WiSight 2.0 Backup Camera To A Trailer Thats Not Pre-Wired

Question:

Dear Sirs: We would like to install this on our RV trailer. Can you also turn it on/let it run while driving down the road? That way we can see as cars come up to us, give us some visibility when passing another car so we now can move over, etc. Also, The RV Trailer we want to purchase it for is for an Airstream Basecamp RV trailer. This RV trailer is not prewired. Any thoughts on how we can get power to the Voyager unit? Finally, does the unit boot upinch fairly quickly? Im asking since we had a previous backup camera and it would take about two2 minutes after we started the vehicle to be fully booted before we could view anything. It was fairly instaneous as we were driving down the road since our vehicle was on but again, on the start up of our vehicle say at a gas station or coming out of a store in a parking lot, it would take 1 1/2-2 minutes before being able to view anything. Thank-you for your help and insights on this camera.

The easiest way to install the Voyager WiSight 2.0 Wireless RV Backup Camera System w/ Night Vision # ASA84YR on your Airstream Basecamp trailer is to wire it to the running lights circuit, which will allow the camera to be on all the time as long as your headlights are on

As far as boot up times, I was able to get ahold of the manufacturer and they said it should take no more than 10-20 seconds to full boot up.
