Can the Reese Friction Sway Control Kit Be Used On a Trailer With an Aluminum Frame

Question:

I have a 2017 7x14 Sno Pro Stealth all aluminum Enclosed trailer and I tow it with a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7 hemi. I get trailer sway when its windy out, so I would like to purchase the Reese Part # 83660. But my biggest question is can I put the self tapping bolts into my aluminum frame that holds the mounting plate on? Thank you

The Reese Friction Sway Control Kit # 83660 can be used on a trailer with an aluminum frame, but you would want to confirm with the trailer manufacturer that they are ok with it because it does require that you drill holes into the frame.

If the trailer manufacture says it is good to go, then you will also need the Reese Sway-Control Bracket # RP26003 to use the Reese Friction Sway Control Kit # 83660.
