2010 Chevy Traverse Hitch Recommendation that is Recessed and Allows Fascia Panel To Be Installed
Question:
Looking for a hitch that doeesnt protrude past the bumper stick out from the vehicle. Will the Drawtite of the Curt do this? Also, will either one allow me to put the cover back on? Id like to add a hitch but Im concerned if I pick the wrong hitch it will take away from look of the vehicle. If both proture, which do you recommend based on my concerns? Thanks for your help.

After reviewing the installation instructions for the Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, and Curt, hitches that are listed as a compatible fit for your 2010 Chevrolet Traverse the Curt # 13424 does not extend past the rear edge of the vehicle. The distance from the center of the hitch pin location on the hitch to the rear edge of the bumper is 6 inches, this measurement is shown in the included video for your reference. Additionally the installation instructions state that the panel may be reinstalled on some models after hitch installation if desired.
According to my technical contact at Curt, most of the vehicle fascia panels are capable of fully installing over the recently installed hitch. Since the hitch mounts to the frame and is recessed under the fascia re-installing it should not require any additional cutting or trimming of the panel on your 2010 Traverse.
I have included a link to the part referenced above as well as an installation video for your reference.
