2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 Tire Chain Recommendation for 275/65-18 Tires

Question:

I have a 2020 Chevrolet Trail Boss with 275/65-18, and am looking for a set of tire chains that will work on ice/snow, and sometimes a little mud. This is for a road to my remote cabin, it does have slight ruts in spots, and is steep in a few sections. I really like the self tightening style, with easy install. I recently purchased a set of Peerless AutoTrac, they lasted two trips in and out. They have a plastic piece holding the pin attachment, if this were metal it would not be an issue. I really like the Konig pro 12 will any of these work for me. If not what would be my best option?

Under normal circumstances I'd recommend using the XD16 Pro Konig Snow Tire Chains # KON94FR because they are heavy-duty and still have built-in self-tensioning that you're looking for, but the owner's manual for your 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 says not to use chains on the 275/65-18 size tires so I recommend using the K-Summit XXL Konig Premium Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains # KON84FR instead.

The K-Summits install by securing to one of the lug nuts instead of wrapping around the back side of the tire like the XD16 Pro and other standard chains do. Since the chains only sit on top of the tread there is no clearance issues on the back side of the tire so you'll be safe in those regards.

These are excellent chains with D-Links that work well in snow, ice, and mud. I've attached a review video for you to check out.
