Timbren Trailer Suspension Kits and Disc Brake Upgrades For Lippert 7,000LB Trailer Axles
Question:
I’m thinking of upgrading my Lippert 7,000lb axles V000448334 to this Timbren Axle-Less suspension system. I believe these Lippert axles have different sized bearings. What bearings do I need if I keep my drum brakes? Second option, If I do this, can I also change to disc brakes? What would I need to purchase? Would you recommend this or the CenterPoint air bag system? Thanks

The Timbren Silent Ride Suspension for Tandem Axle Trailers w/ 3" Round Axles # TSR7000T05 will be the easiest way to change your suspension to a more independent and progressive suspension. This will allow you to use the axles you already have so you will not even need to remove your current brakes to make the change. The total installation will be much easier as well.
If you prefer to use the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System # TASR7KS01 you will be able to still use your brakes and drums from your Lippert axles. These will both use the Inner Bearing # 25580, Outer Bearing # 14125A, and Grease Seal # GS-2250DL.
To switch to disc brakes you will need the following parts.
HydraStar Electric-Hydraulic Actuator w/ Line Kit for Disc Brakes # CAR-HBA16-2 Qty: 1
Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # K2HRCM1337-9DAC Qty: 2
Grease Seals # RG06-070 Qty: 4
Inner Bearings # 25580 Qty: 4
Outer Bearings # 02475 Qty: 4
The Timbren kits will offer you a more independent suspension while providing progressive cushioning, while the Lippert Center Point # LC1565391 will only cushion your suspension.
