I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT78MR for your 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. This receiver is rated for up to 675lbs of tongue weight and a trailer weight up to 4,500lbs with or without a weight distribution hitch. Be sure to check with your owners manual for your maximum towing capacity.

The Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118416 is a plug and play connector that gives you a 4-way flat connector, and take care of the running lights, turn signals and brake lights on the trailer. It will plug into the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7 and give you the rest of the wiring for a 7-way connector. Since there is not a lot of room in the Wrangler the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR is the brake controller I recommend. The main unit mounts behind the dash with only a small hole required for the control knob. You will need the Universal Wiring # RED69FR to wire into your Wrangler.

Since you will be towing a trailer that weighs almost the same weight of your Jeep I recommend using a Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution # EQ37061ET. This particular hitch system is rated for trailers with a tongue weight between 200-600lbs and a maximum trailer weight of 6,000lbs. It does not include a shank as rather than using a standard 12" shank the 18" Long Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank # EQ90-02-4600 will help gain you some additional clearance from your spare tire. This will make connecting to the trailer easier and provide additional access to the rear storage area on your Wrangler. You will need a 1-7/8" 12pt Thin Walled Socket # ALL643216 to install the included 2" hitch ball.
