Smallest Wheel Size Allowed for Dexter 2,200 Lb Axle with 7" Brakes
Question:
what is the smallest wheel and tire combination that will fit the 2200 lb dexter torqueflex with 7 drum electric brakes
asked by: Loren
Expert Reply:
The trailer hub/drum is what dictates wheel size and I looked up the minimum wheel size on all of our Dexter Trailer Hubs/Drums for 2,200 Lb Axles like part # 8-173-16UC3 and they all list the minimum wheel size as 10". The Kenda 205/65-10 Bias Trailer Tire with 10" White Wheel part # AM3H410 will be a great option for this. It only measures 20.6" diameter x 8.3" wide and is designed for a 4 on 4" lug pattern like the above hub/drum.
