What Demco Autoslide Fifth Wheel Hitch Do You Recommend For My Trailer That Weighs 13,500 Lbs

Question:

2 part question 1. My trailer is 11,000lb and carrying 2500lb so total 13,500. Do I want a 15,000 rated hitch or 18,000lb? 2. I want a autoslide, does anyone make one that fits into the 2022 gmc 2500 puck system or do I need rail adapter. I also have a rhino box king pin, not sure if that makes a difference?

If you want to go with an autoslide fifth wheel hitch, you will have to go with the 18,000 lbs option. We do not have an autoslide option that is rated at 15,000 lbs. It is better to have too much towing capacity than not having enough. So if the autoslide was not an important feature for you, I would still go with the 18,000 lbs option instead of the 15,000 lbs option. The autoslide fifth wheel I recommend that fits your 2022 GMC Sierra will consist of the following:

Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Single Jaw - Above Bed - 18,000 lbs, part # DM8550034
Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Chevy/GMC OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package - 21K, part # DM6333.

It will provide you with an additional 14" of clearance, allowing you to make tight turns. The autoslide means you will not have to get out of your vehicle to adjust your fifth wheel hitch when you are ready to drive. This setup also comes with the custom rail adapter.

The B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package - Dual Jaw - 20K, part # BWRVK3775, you attached to your question is also compatible with your vehicle. However, it is not an autoslide. So you will have to unlock it and slide it manually when your are ready to drive. It does not matter if you have the Rhino Box King Pin.

I have included product description links and a video of this Demco Autoslide Fifth Wheel Hitch Receiver being installed in a 2021 GMC Sierra 2500 below.
