Here at etrailer, we definitely recommend using a sliding hitch for a short-bed style truck with any fifth-wheel application. If you need a sliding hitch for towing your Grand Design Reflection 31MB with your 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500 with OEM prep, I recommend the Demco Hijacker # DM8550034 (18k) or the # DM8550035 (21k). The bread and butter of the Hijacker is the autoslide feature that spares you the annoyance of stepping out of the cab in order to manually adjust the slider. It also includes a wrap-around, single-piece jaw that gives you a more secure connection than sliding jaws.
With the Hijacker, you need to purchase the Demco Fifth Wheel Adapter # DM6333 in order to complete the installation.
