What 7-Way and Brake Controller do You Recommend for My 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Question:
I have a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. What 7-way do I need? I don't have a factory tow package.

On your 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee, in order to install a 7-way harness there needs to be a 4-way harness installed on your vehicle already. If you need that 4-way, that is the Tekonsha T-One Connector 4-Way # 118727. This 4-way connector has a better-quality converter box than the Curt T-Connector # C62VR.
Once the 4-way is installed, you are ready for the 7-way. I recommend the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controllers - 7-Way # ETBC7. With this harness, you will be able to splice the harness into your vehicle's wiring.
For the brake controller, I recommend either the Tekonsha Voyager # 39510 or the Curt Echo # C51180. Both of these controllers are proportional controllers which means that the controller activates the trailer brakes in proportion to your vehicle's braking action. The Voyager is more of a traditional-style controller that requires mounting into the dashboard of your vehicle near the steering wheel. If you decide to go with the Voyager, you need the additional plug-in harness # 20127. On the other hand, the Curt Echo allows you to control the settings of your controller with the ease of your Smart device.
