Recommended Over the Bed Rack for RetraxPRO XR Hard Tonneau Cover for Full Size Truck
Question:
I have the Retrax Pro cover with the slots in the rail. I am looking for the best low profile rack system so I can carry my kayak and while traveling, it would be protected from the wind by the truck cab. I am having trouble finding a system that would slide into the slots on my rails, can you help?

For the RetraxPRO XR Hard Tonneau Cover you can use the Rhino-Rack Vortex Crossbar System part # RRVA180B-RRRLT600 which will mount into the t-slots on the side rails. This will be as low profile as pretty much any other option but to make sure the kayak does not stick up further than you like you'd want to use a hull down style like the Rhino-Rack Nautic 581 Rear Loading Kayak Carrier part # RR581.
Please note, in order for this setup to work you would have to have a fairly long bed and short kayak, otherwise you'd have to use some sort of load extender or carry the kayak over the cab.
