Hitch-Mount Bike Rack Recommendation for 2004 Lexus LX470 With Integrated Bumper Receiver
Question:
Ok, I have 2004 Lexus LX470 that has the integrated receiver built in the bumper. My problem is, the spare tire mounted underneath the back doesnt allow much room for any type of normal accessory attachment i.e. bike rack to slide far enough into the hitch without hitting the spare tire. Stopping it short of letting the pin hole line up to lock in the accessory. I was looking at some extension or something to allow me to do this easily with. Also, I only measure about 1.5inch from spare tire to center of pin hole on integrated receiver. Any thoughts...

I just spoke with our local Lexus dealership service department and they informed me that you can put a bike rack into the receiver of your 2004 Lexus LX470 and it will not hit your spare tire.
Your vehicle has a 2 inch receiver that can accommodate Class I, II, and III bike racks. If you pick a Class I bike rack, they have a shorter shank, which may address your space limitation, however, your receiver will accept a Class II and III shank, so you are wide open with bike rack choices. I have attached a link with available bike racks for your vehicle.
One choice I believe will work for your 2004 Lexus LX470 with the integrated receiver is the Thule Doubletrack Pro XT # TH92BJ.
