What Rooftop Cargo Bag do You Recommend for Carrying Suitcases on My 2018 Honda Pilot?

I have a naked roof no crossbars and no rails on a Honda Pilot 2018. I am looking at the Rightline Range Rooftop Cargo Bags. Wondering: 1 Do the hooks work with my vehicle? 2 What size should I get to put it 3 or 4 airline approved carryon bags? Thanks for your help

Yes! The attachment clips/straps that come with the Rightline Range 3 Rooftop Cargo Bag - Water Resistant - 18 cu ft # RL100R30 work with your 2018 Honda Pilot with a bare roof.

If you have bags that are like the Thule Crossover Rolling Carry-On Suitcase and Backpack with Laptop Sleeve
THTCRU-115STR that measures 23-3/16" tall x 15-3/8" wide x 9-1/8" deep, you only have enough room in the Range 3 to carry 2 of those bags.

All this being said, if you are looking for a larger rooftop cargo bag, the largest we carry is the Curt Cargo Bag for Roof Basket - Waterproof - 21 Cu Ft # C18221 that measures 59" long x 34" wide x 18" tall.

In order to use this bag, you need the Curt Roof Basket with Extension # C18115-117. The basket requires a roof rack system. For that system, I recommend the following parts:

- Yakima CoreBar Crossbars - 60" # Y00422
- BaseLine Towers # Y28TR
- 2 sets of the BaseClip Fit Kit # Y06152
- Yakima Same-Key Locks # Y07204

With this system, you will be able to attach the Curt basket to your roof. As far as weight, you have a 165 pound capacity with the Yakima roof rack. As with all roof racks and rooftop cargo, I recommend consulting with your owner's manual to make sure your roof can accommodate that much weight.

Your only option would be a bag like the Rightline Range 3 #RL100R30 and use the car clips #RL100600 to secure it to your roof by connecting the clips to your door jambs.
