Can The Go Power Automatic Transfer Switch 34264403 Be Used In a Residential Application?

Question:

Hi, I have a question about this switch. It is designed for use in RVs but I am wondering if there is any reason I can not use it in a house? I have a house I am not at much in the winter and I want to get a couple lithium Ion batteries and converter to run just the furnace for up to a couple days if the power goes out. I would keep the batteries on a charger. If the power goes out, I would want this switch to automatically switch to battery power and then switch back to street power when the power returns. Is there any reason I could not use this item for this purpose? Thank you

Yes, you can use the Go Power Automatic Transfer Switch # 34264403 in your residential application. You will need to ensure that the electrical being used for your furnace is no more than 30 amps and uses 120 volt power and not 240.
