Is the Factory Brake Controller Plug Present on a 2010 F-150 Without the Factory Tow Package

Question:

service dept at ford dealer said that because this 2010 f150 did not have a factory installed towing package then there would not be a plug under the dash for a brake controller. are they correct by saying this?

It is possible that the brake controller plug is not present under the dash if the truck did not come with a factory tow package. The best way to determine if the plug is present is to check. I have attached a two videos showing how to access the factory brake controller plug for you to check out. You may notice that the trucks in the video are a 2009 and a 2012, but the videos should give you a good idea where to check for the brake controller plug on your 2010 Ford F-150
