I would be happy to help you set up your 2006 Jeep Wrangler for flat towing. You are going to need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, tow bar wiring, and a supplemental braking system.

If you don't already have a tow bar, I recommend the Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar w/ LED Lights - RV Mount - 8K item # RM-676. This sleek and simple all-terrain tow bar has integrated LED lights that turn on and off with your RV's tail lights. It is rated for up to 8,000 lbs which will be more than enough to handle your Wrangler. This tow bar also has integrated safety cables.

Your base plate will be determined by what kind of bumper you have. If your Wrangler has the factory bumper you will need the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms item # RM-521424-5. If you have a different type of bumper please email me back with what you have and I will find the correct base plate kit for your Jeep.

To control your Jeep's lights you will need the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit item # RM-15267. This diode kit allows you to use your Jeep Wrangler's tail lights and wiring system while preventing feedback from your RV. Wires 2-wire and 3-wire systems to operate as a combined lighting systems. I recommend adding a charge line kit, item # RM-156-25. This maintains a charge on your Jeep's battery so it isn't drained while being towed. To keep your Jeep's lights from over-riding your RV's you'll want to use theRoadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit item # RM-152.

You will also need a supplemental braking system to control your Jeep's brakes while it is being towed. The Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System item # RM-8700 activates the brakes on your Wrangler when you engage the brakes on your RV. The braking pressure of the InvisiBrake can be adjusted from 5 psi to 80 psi depending on your individual application and preferences.

You may need a high low adapter to keep your tow bar level. I have attached an article about choosing the correct one.
