While the Curt Hitch # C22UR will not completely disable your hands-free lift gate sensor, it will partially block it. One way to get around the blockage is by swinging your foot a bit farther with the hitch installed. The sensor will still activate.
If you have plans to tow with your Sienna, I recommend the T-One Wiring Harness # TK69FR along with a ball/ball mount like the ones included in the Curt Towing Starter Kit # C45534.
