Recommended Weld-On A-Frame Trailer Coupler For A Teardrop Camper Build

Question:

Hi, Im shopping for a 2Ball Weld-On A-Frame coupler for a tear- camper build custom made frame. Im looking for something very reliable, secure and easy to hook up willing to pay more for something that will last. The bulldog slide vs demco lever seem like the more popular options, any suggestions?

For your teardrop camper build I recommend the Demco A-Frame Trailer Coupler w/ Jack Hole # DM14791-97 over the Bulldog # BD028386 you were looking at. The latch style of the Demco is much easier and in my own personal opinion a safer design.

The eZ-Latch does not need to be tugged or manually activated to allow the ball into the coupler socket, nor does it have to be secured in place. Just make sure that the coupler is properly lined up with the ball when you lower it, and the rest is automatic. Disengaging the coupler is just as effortless. Simply lift up the contoured handle and the coupler socket will automatically release its grip on the ball.

This coupler also has a 10,000lb GTW versus the Bulldog's 7,000lb GTW capacity. The On top of that Demco's customer support and technical expertise is top notch. Overall I think you'll find the Demco to be better looking, easier to use, and better quality since it's made in the US.
