Trailer Hitch Receiver and 4-Way Wiring Harness For a 2022 Subaru Forester Wilderness Package

Question:

I have a 2022 Subaru Forester however it is the wilderness package which is new this year. Is there any reason that this hitch will not work on the Wilderness Package?

The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7391 has been confirmed to fit the 2022 Subaru Forester but it is unclear with the new Wilderness trim if any additional trimming may be required. As the rear fascia on the Wilderness appears similar in size to the other rear fascia's that are available I do not see any reason that there would be any additional trimming required.

I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118467 be installed when you install the receiver. This will make it easier to route the wiring outside the vehicle compartment if you would rather not have to run the connector out the lift gate when you are towing. A Mounting Bracket # C58001 will allow for you to secure the 4-way connector to the end of the receiver.

If you are going to use a hitch mounted carrier like a bike rack or cargo carrier you will likely need a set of Auxiliary Lights # C53201 since the tail lights won't have a clear view to vehicles behind you on the roadway. These lights will connect to the Tekonsha harness.
