Axle, Hub, and Bearing Information for Detail K2 Mighty Multi Utility Trailer
Question:
Hello, I am curious as to the quality of the axle/hub assembly on this trailer. I am trying to get away from the questionable quality of the Harbor Freight axle/hub/bearings as I want to use this as a luggage carrier for mostly highway driving. For example are the lugs and replacement bearings SAE or metic? Any input you have would be appreciated. Thank you. rw

The Detail K2 Mighty Multi Utility Trailer # K2MMT4X6 would be a much better choice when compared to a Harbor Freight trailer. This trailer uses a straight, square trailer axle with steel construction and easy lube spindles. It uses 30205 bearings and a hub with a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern.
Although we do not carry direct replacement parts at this time, they are available from the manufacturer. When it comes to Harbor Freight trailers, more often then not there are no replacement parts and the only option is to choose a Timbren Axleless system like the # ASR1200S02 when something breaks or wears out.
This trailer has a weight capacity of 1,295 lbs with a 72" x 48" bed. It has a 9" clearance when measuring from the ground to the axle and features a 2-position bed with a tailgate that acts as a ramp. It has a powder coated steel frame and a 1-7/8" ball coupler. The trailer itself weighs 305 lbs.
I have attached a review video for your reference.
