The # TH14936 isn't a fit for the Thule Motion XT-XXL. You'll want to use # 1401495600, as confirmed by Thule.

The difference between the Thule hinges or struts #TH14936 and #TH14933 is the spring tension. Both of these hinges will work for your Sears X Cargo Sport 20 lid. However, the #TH14936 includes better springs.
