Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2020 Jeep Gladiator

Question:

Hello, Looking for advise with what I need to flat tow my 2020 Jeep Gladiator. Im looking at the Roadmaster Nighthawk All-Terrain RV-mount-8K-RM-676 paired up with the Dierct-Connect Base Plate Kit RM77VR. My first question is: It this the correct set up that you would recommend for my 2020 Jeep Gladiator? And: what wiring kit would you recommend for my 2020 Jeep Gladiator? Thank you in advance for your help.

To flat tow your 2020 Jeep Gladiator you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, tow bar wiring, safety chains and a braking system. The Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-676 is a great tow bar that I would absolutely recommend. The tow bar is made in the USA and has a limited lifetime warranty. This takes care of the tow bar portion as well as the safety chains because the Nighthawk tow bar includes safety chains. As far as the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM77VR is concerned, it is compatible with the Nighthawk tow bar and is confirmed to fit the 2020 Jeep Gladiator if it is the Mojave model. If your Gladiator is not the Mojave model and still has the factory bumper then you will want the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521453-5 which will also work with the Nighthawk tow bar.

You will need tow bar wiring, which will allow you to connect your RV's tail, brake, and turn signal lights to your towed vehicle's lighting system. I recommend the Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit # RM-152-1676-7 which has a limited lifetime warranty.

For a braking system you will need the Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251 and the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751497. This will provide you with a proportional braking system that never has to be removed, replaced, or reset.

You will want to consult your owners manual for any other manufacturer requirements/recommendations for flat towing your Gladiator. You may also need a high-low adapter. I have included a help article that goes over how to figure out if an adapter is needed and which adapter is needed should you need one. I have also linked our selection of high-low adapters so you can select the correct one for you if it is determined that you need one.
