Bike Carrier For Ebikes And Step Through Bikes
Question:
I have an SUV. I want a hitch bike carrier for our two electric bikes. I am looking at the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 Bike Rack. First bike weighs 52 with battery and 46 without. Second weighs 62 with battery and 54 without. Are these bikes too heavy for this rack? Can the rack accomodate a step thru bike?

The Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount # HR1450Z can only carry bikes up to 50 pounds, anything more and you will be in danger of damaging your bikes/rack or hurting someone.
However the Yakima HoldUp Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount # Y02443 will be able to carry bikes up to 60 pounds each so make sure to remove your batteries.
It will be able to handle a step through bike too because it holds onto the bike tires and not the frame.
