I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76176 for your 2022 Volkswagen Atlas. This receiver has a hidden cross tube for a clean look and 2" receiver to work with a variety of ball mounts and hitch mounted accessories. It has a maximum tongue weight rating of 900lbs and trailer rating of 6,000lbs with or without a weight distribution hitch. Be sure to not exceed the maximum weight rating for your Atlas given by VW.
The Tekonsha Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 118754 will give you a 4-way flat connector. This connector will fit most small trailers and also allow you to use Auxiliary Lights # C53201 with any hitch mounted accessory that impairs the view of your tail lights. The Mounting Bracket # C58001 will allow you to secure the connector to the receiver end tube for easy access.
