Upgraded Wet Bolt Kit to Use with Road Armor Cushioned Equalizers
Question:
I want to upgrade my stock equalizer with the Road Armor LC696740. My current equalizer is solid steel with a 7 3/4 inch spread between the lower bolt holes. I believe all I need is a 3 1/8 inch wet bolt kit plate. I know lippert has one for around $ and morryde’ s version is less etrailer approx prices. Is there any difference between the wet bolt kits and will this configuration work?

When using the Road Armor cushioned equalizers like the part # LC696740 the recommended wet bolt kit is the part # LC52SV which has bolts and shackle straps that have the correct length and width to fit together. A different kit like the # MR76ZR would work too since the bolts and shackles are the same dimensions but it does come with extra bushings that you would not need.
