The Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-521195-5 you were referencing have the following tech note "Roadmaster direct-connect base plates will only work with Roadmaster tow bars that slide into a trailer hitch, such as the Sterling, Blackhawk, Blackhawk 2, Falcon, or Falcon 2. These base plates will not work with tow bars that require a hitch ball."
This just means that you'll only be able to use a direct-connect style tow bar that mounts into the receiver tube of the motorhome hitch and would not be able to use a tow bar that mounts to a hitch ball mount like the Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar - Car Mount - 2" Ball - 6,000lbs # RM-501 does. I'm assuming since you say you have the Roadmaster 5000 you're talking about the older version of the # RM-501, which would not be compatible with direct-connect style base plates and would instead require a crossbar-style base plate like the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-521195-4.
To complete your flat towing setup for your 2018 Toyota Corolla iM you'll also need a tow bar wiring kit, braking system, and safety cables. If you haven't already purchased these then I have the following recommendations:
Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This diode kit allows you to use your Toyota Corolla iM's tail lights and wiring system while preventing feedback from your RV and includes a 6-way to 7-way adapter cable and 6-way socket for your vehicle.
Braking System: Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # HM39524. This system offers intense, emergency braking or steady, smooth braking in a single portable system. Easily switch between proportional or full braking using the remote from the cab of your motorhome. This lightweight, portable system is easy to position, adjust, and remove so that you can use it in multiple cars. The included charge line kit will keep your vehicle's battery charged while you tow as well.
Safety Cables: RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables - 6,000lbs # RM-643. The coiled design of these cables will help prevent them from dragging on the ground and being damaged.
You may also require a high/low adapter to keep your tow bar level between your motorhome and vehicle. This does require some measuring so I've attached our article on drop hitches to help you determine the correct rise/drop needed.
