Using the Swagman XC2 Bike Rack with Alternative Frame Bike

Question:

Question about swagman xc2 #S64650 bike rack. One of my bikes is a Sun streamway. It has no step over middle bar frame. It’s a step threw bike frame. My question on the swagman is the hold down, tie down hook. Will it go low enough to hold bike down? Also wheelbase? Is that the measured length between the sprockets ? Thanks

The Swagman XC2 Bike Rack for 2 bikes, # S64650 has the ability to ratchet down to about 6". Note the attached image. There is a taller and shorter padded hook, use the shorter padded hook for the lowest possible adjustment. But I will also suggest that you consider the Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter Bar, # 64005. This spring-loaded bar telescopes from 24-3/8" to 33-1/4" long providing a horizontal mounting point for the padded hooks on the Swagman XC2 Bike Rack, # S64650.
