Installing a Reese 5th Wheel Hitch from a GMC onto a Ford F-250

Question:

I have a 2016 f250 super duty short bed. Will a Reese Pro series 20k that was on a 2006 GMC Sierra 2500 fit on my truck. Thank you in advance

The Reese Pro Series 5th Wheel hitch that refer to mounts using ISR above bed rails. The hitch is not vehicle specific so yes you can move the hitch from one to another truck but the mounting brackets for the rails will not move between the GMC and the Ford without modification.

You need to install new base rails in the 2016 F-250 to mount the 5th wheel hitch to. Use the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches, # RP50026-58. This kit has custom brackets that specifically for this generation of F-250 that reduce the amount of drilling and time required.
