Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles and for Motorhomes

Question:

BATTERY CHARGE LINE KIT FOR TOWED VEHICLES RM-156-25 You said that i really don,t need this due to low battery draw with the air brakes but it would be a good idea just in case.....cool it,s not much but in reading how it works it said it requires the RM-156-75 also if no charge line is present ? I thought that the RM-156-25 was the charge line needed and when i looked at the RM-156-75 it said it needed the RM-156-25 to operate. They both look much the same but the cost is twice . so do i really need both even if they look almost the same i,m confussed i would like to have it in my toad for extra protection and complete my list for the order....sorry to be a bother but it seemed odd Thank You

Yes the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles, # RM-156-25 is minimal cost and while not "needed" for many applications it is a good item to add as it maintains the battery charge in your towed vehicle while the car is being towed. However, this does require that the RV's plug have a charge line pin that is "hot" to provide that power from the plug connection to the towed. Most/many motorhomes come from the factory with this pin already wired. If your motorhome is then you are good-to-go. However, if not, you can use the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Motorhomes, # RM-156-75. This charge line connects to the battery in your RV to the 6-way or 7-way plug at the rear of your RV, allowing up to 15 amps to be transferred to your towed vehicle's battery.
