Will I Need to Trim Rear Bumper to Install etrailer Hitch on 2021 Mazda CX-5
Question:
I like the etrailer hitch for my 2021 CX-5 but I'm trying to figure out if I need to cut the bumper at all to get it to fit like I know you need to do with some vehicles. If you do have to cut it is there a hitch that doesn't make you cut the bumper? Just want to make sure I understand what I'm getting into is all.

You will not need to do any trimming on the rear bumper of your 2021 Mazda CX-5 to install the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98902, but I will say that if you have the Grand Touring model there is an underbody trim piece that will need to be permanently removed for the hitch installation. This just requires removing 2 plastic fasteners with a flat head screwdriver and then removing the panel though so you technically still won't have to cut anything.
Attached is an installation video and photo of the etrailer hitch on a 2021 CX-5 for you to check out.
If you plan on using the hitch for a bike rack then I recommend taking a look at the Kuat NV 2.0 which comes in Gunmetal Gray # NV22G and Metallic Black # NV22B. I really like the NV 2.0 because it looks really sleek, is easy to use, and it offers some simple upgrades like the Access Ramp # ANVBRB to fit different bike applications. I've linked a review video of the NV 2.0 on a 2021 CX-5 for you to get a good idea of how this will fit with your vehicle.
