Recommended Electric Tongue Jack for a 24' Car Trailer with 10,000 lb. Capacity

Question:

2 questions: 1 Ive got a 24 enclosed Aluminum Car Trailer. Capacity is 10K lbs. What electric tongue jack do you recommend. 2 Regarding flat tire repair. What system do you recommend to lift trailer to repair the tire? Ive seen drive on jacks that lift the flat tire by driving on the jack with the good tire. Are traditional hydraulic jacks a better solution? Thx

For your car trailer I recommend the Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack # JET-3755. Typically, your tongue weight should be 10-15% of your total trailer weight (trailer + cargo). In other words, a 10,000-lb trailer would have a tongue weight between 1,000 lbs. and 1,500 lbs. So with the 3,500 lb. capacity of this jack you have plenty of room to spare. Since this question was asked from a A-frame jack, I am working under the assumption that is what you have. This will have a bolt-on installation to your A-frame trailer. If you do not have an A-frame, please reach out to me with your trailer style and I would be happy to help you further.

As far as flat tire repair, there are options like drive on ramps. But I have found hydraulic jacks like the Powerbuilt Bottle Jack # ALL647501 which can handle up to 24,000 lbs. to be the most reliable option still.
