Since your 2014 Ford F-150 comes with a tow package and hitch, the only option we have that will work for you and give you an increased weight capacity is the TorkLift SuperHitch Hero Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class IV # TLF1005H. This hitch installs underneath your current hitch. Apart from providing you with 8,000 pounds of maximum gross towing weight capacity, it involves an easy bolt-on process.
It is important to note that this particular hitch will not fit hitches rated to 11,500 pounds. Also, it is only designed to fit short-bed truck models. As with all trailer hitches and towing applications, I recommend confirming with your owner's manual to make sure your vehicle will be able to handle your 7,400 pound Airstream trailer.
For your Airstream, you will need a brake controller. If you need a brake controller, I recommend the Tekonsha Voyager # 39510 or the Curt Echo # C51180. Both of these controllers are proportional controllers which means that the controller activates the trailer brakes in proportion to your vehicle's braking action. The Voyager is more of a traditional-style controller than requires mounting into the dashboard of your vehicle near the steering wheel. On the other hand, the Curt Echo allows you to control the settings of your controller with the ease of your Smart device.
