To fit the etrailer Invisible Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # e86YR and be rated for the weight of your 2016 Ford F-150 Lariat I recommend the etrailer XHD Non-Binding Tow Bar - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 10,500lbs # e94ZR. This tow bar has telescoping, self-supporting arms make for fast, easy hookup and full articulation that allows for unlimited spread to fit your application. The non-binding latches make it simple and easy to disconnect on uneven terrain. This tow bar will also come with safety cables that are attached to the tow bar to prevent them from dragging on the ground.

To send your braking and turning signals from your motorhome to your F-150 I recommend installing the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This diode kit allows you to use your Ford F-150's tail lights and wiring system while preventing feedback from your RV. It will come with a 6-pole port to install on your vehicle as well as the 6 to 7 way adapter cable.

For a braking system I recommend the Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # HM39524. This system offers intense, emergency braking or steady, smooth braking in a single portable system. Easily switch between proportional or full braking from your motorhome using the remote.

Note: The # RM-88400 relay is required to prevent the towed vehicle's brake signal from overriding the turn signal from the RV when applying the brakes during a turn. the brake light switch wire for your vehicle is purple/white.

You may also require a high/low adapter to keep your tow bar level while towing. This will require you to do some measuring so I've attached our help guide article that will walk you through determining the correct rise/drop needed.
