What Replacement Actuator do I Need for My Ellis Boat Trailer?

Question:

I have a 1976 Ellis boat trailer with an Atwood inside slide surge drum brake. The brake fluid container piston and actuator are on top of the tongue. It has a two inch ball two pins through the tongue 6.5 inches apart an 1.5 inches down. A tongue length of about 8 inches and an inside dimension of 3 inches and outside dimension of 3 3/8 inches. Do you have a product to replace this with? Thank-You

I have a great solution for you. While we do not carry anything that will replace the master cylinder of your Atwood actuator, we can offer a full replacement of your actuator/coupler.

For that route, I recommend the Titan Brake Actuator with Manual Lockout - Bolt On - Drum - 2" Ball # T63FR. The reason why this is a great choice apart from the fact that it fits the standard 3-inch wide channel tongue, it includes a breakaway kit and a manual lockout. The lockout is a great feature because it will allow you to reverse your vehicle with the trailer connected without activating the brakes. As far as installation, the Titan actuator includes a bolt-on process.
