Question:

I am putting a hitch on my travel trailer to tow doubles in Idaho. What hitch is best? It is a Cougar travel trailer. Thanks

The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached a help article on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well. You will want the loaded tongue weight of your setup to fall right in the middle of the tongue weight range of the system you use.

Once you know your tongue weight you will want to check out the link I attached that has all of the weight distribution systems we carry. You will be able to select your tongue weight from the filters to see what would be rated for your setup. The Fastway e2 kit part # FA92-00-1000 that you referenced has a tongue weight range of 600-1,000 lb so if the tongue weight of your travel trailer fell within that range this would work well on your Cougar travel trailer. I do not have a way to determine what your tongue weight would be.

Since you asked for best though the Strait Line part # RP66084 is probably the best option that has best chance of working for your tongue weight that is unknown to me as it has a wider range at 600-1,200 lbs and also features best sway control that works to fight sway before it starts.
