Recommended Suspension Enhancement To Eliminate Sag on a 2019 Chevy Silverado 2500HD When Towing

Question:

I have a 2019 Silverado 2500HD, crew cab 4x4, with a gas engine. I am installing a leveling kit and want to remain at level unloaded and as close as possible towing our ~9000 lb travel trailer with ~850 tongue weight. Would these be a good product Witt those considerations?

I recommend using a weight and sway distribution hitch with your 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 to remain level while towing your travel trailer.

The RoadActive Suspension # RAS3611-HD will help to keep you Silverado level but it will not help prevent any trailer sway which is inherently more dangerous than having a suspension that sags.

A Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET will provide you a lifetime of use hauling trailers with a tongue weight of 600-1000lbs and a maximum weight of 10,000lbs. Since it is not a custom fit product you will be able to use it with different vehicles as well. The Equal-i-zer will allow you to keep your Silverado level when towing as well as give you sway control for the trailer. This will keep you trailer tracking straight rather than getting pushed around from wind and large truck turbulence when you are on the road. With this system there is no parts that need removed to back up and best of all it is Made in the USA.

You will need a 1-7/8" 12pt Thin Walled Socket # ALL643216 to install the 2-5/16" ball that comes with the Equal-i-zer hitch system. They do offer Sway Bracket Jackets # EQ95-01-5150 if you are concerned about the noise that is created by steel on steel contact of the sway bars and sway brackets.
