Expert Reply:
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13409 will not interfere with any of the rear sensors on your 2021 Subaru Forester. If you are towing a trailer or using some type of hitch mounted accessory those items will be picked up by the different sensors. I recommend turning off any reverse sensors when you have either a trailer or hitch mounted accessory installed.
I recommend installing the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118467 in the event you need to tow a small trailer or need Auxiliary Lights # C53201 with your hitch mounted accessory. These lights are needed if your gear/bikes interfere with the clear view of the tail lights on your Forester. If you will be using your 4-way and don't want to have to run it through the rear hatch when it is used the Mounting Brackets # 18140 and # 18144 will allow you to attach the 4-way to the receiver so that you will not need to drill into your body work for a mount.
