Recommended Trailer Hitch For A 2012 Toyota Camry For Holding A Cargo Carrier
Question:
I have a ECOTRIC Hitch-Mounted Cargo Carrier with Mobility Ramp for Wheelchair Scooter Lawn Mower Snow Blower Hauler 500lb Capacity Basket-Style. Do I need a vehicle hitch? Do I need anything else to have it installed on my Toyota Camry?

Though I am not familiar with the ECOTRIC brand as it is not one that we carry, it does look to need a hitch to be able to install on your 2012 Toyota Camry. With that said, we do have a few hitch options available for your car and the Curt # C12107 is a good one. This is American made and I included an install video for you to check out. However, this, as well as the Draw-Tite # 36540, are Class II hitches which means they have a 1-1/4" receiver.
This is due to your 2012 Camry having a maximum of 1,000 pounds towing, though towing is not recommended with your vehicle, and 100 pounds of tongue weight capacity. Tongue weight has to do with a non trailer load, like a cargo carrier. The ECOTRIC looks to weigh 73 pounds and requires a 2" receiver, so I do not recommend using these together.
We do have the Curt # C18145 cargo carrier than can be used on your Camry and even have a review video showing this, but it will be much smaller and does not include a ramp. It does only weight 28 pounds though, so you can carry up to 72 pounds with this option.
