Trunk Mount Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2011 Mercury Milan with Aftermarket Spoiler

Question:

Can you tell me if this bike rack will fit a Mercury Milan with an aftermarket spoiler. Even though the spoiler was installed aftermarket it is the same spoiler that Ford puts on the Fusion. Also, how do feel this bike rack compares to the Hollywood Rack Baja 2 for the same vehicle.

You will most likely not have any fit issues with the Expedition # HRF6-2 fitting over the spoiler on your 2011 Mercury Milan. If you want to be absolutely sure a rack will clear the spoiler go with the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top rack, # HRF2. This rack has an extra arm at the top that places the top straps up and over the spoiler so there is no interference.

If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # HRBA-PRO. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have to use these adapters and without them my wife's bike would be at a severe angle and I would not be able to load my sons bike at all.
