Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this replacement lower rung for the Yakima HitchSki snowboard and ski carrier. Now this is a replacement lower rung on the Yakima HitchSki snowboard and ski carrier. That carrier we do sell separately on our website. It's part number Y02418, and I did wanna pop up just an insert to show you that's what that carrier looks like. That snowboard carrier, as you notice, has two lower rungs and two pivoting rails and it is designed to install onto your hitch-mounted hanging bike rack to hold your skis or snowboards in place.

The lower rung, like this one right here, is what connects to the bottom of that HitchSki carrier. Now the installation hardware to install it is not included. You can use the hardware you already have. If you do need the hardware, we do sell it separately on our website. It's listed on this product page as a related product and it's part number Y37ZR.

And just to zoom in on this product, you can see there's your area where your skis or snowboard'll go through, has the tightening and loosening knobs. If you just loosen these knobs on both ends, it'll open up that area right in here to allow you to insert your snowboard or ski in there and then you just tighten it down. The two holes right here you can see this is what'll go on the frame of your carrier.
