Are There Any Water Heaters On The Market That Dont Require Winterization

Question:

I have a 2001terry Fleetwood pull behind. Do they make a circulation water heater you can plug in for winter or do you just need to have it winterized?

At this time we only carry water heaters that do require winterization. The tankless systems, like the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater - Gas - Automatic Pilot - 60,000 BTU # FR93FR will be much easier to flush and winterize but does still require draining the lines and using a non-toxic anti-freeze solution to prevent damage to your RV's plumbing.

If you do decide to replace the water heater in your 2001 Fleetwood Terry then I highly recommend going with the Furrion tankless water heater # FR93FR or # FR98SR if you know you want the 16" x 16" door.

It has similar dimensions to other tank water heaters at 12-5/8L x 12-13/16W x 19-3/16D so you'll need to make slight alterations to your cutout hole to fill in the gap but the performance output of this unit will be worth the work. The on-demand hot water and ability to set the temperature to a specific degree instead of the old fashioned arrow knob will make camping much more enjoyable.

The # FR98SR has the following requirements to properly operate:

12VDC Power Input.

7.2-65PSI water Pressure (40-50PSI recommended). I recommend using a water pressure regulator like # CAM40064 to ensure proper water pressure.

11" WC - 14" WC (13" WC recommended). I recommend having a licensed technician check your pressure and adjust your regulator accordingly to ensure proper gas pressure.
