Should Zerk Fittings on Trailer Hub Spindles be Used to Fill Hub with Grease
Question:
I have a grease fitting on the end of my spindle to grease my wheel bearing. How do I know if I have enough grease

With EZ lube spindles like what you have the best recommendation I can make is to actually not use the grease fitting at all as odd as that may sound. For best results it's best to pack the bearings and hub with grease by hand. The reason for this is that the grease fittings make it way too easy to over fill the hub which will either blow out the grease seal right then or will on the highway once it's warmed up a bit. Some people swear by putting in grease until you start to see it come through the inner bearing but even then it's quite a bit of pressure for that to happen so by that time you most likely will have seal issues.
I attached a video that covers packing bearings though that you may find helpful.
The best grease to use is the LMX Red part # L11390 which is waterproof, the most heavy duty, and also easily compatible with nearly all other greases.
