How to Get Light With MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent MA00-04000K

Question:

I changed that little OEM 12V bath vent van out for the MaxxAir 4000K vent with White Cover. Problem is, the white cover lets in ZERO light! My bathroom is now 100 black dark! I cant see unless I have light! Does MaxxAir offer a replacement cover that will let light in?

There isn't a replacement cover for the MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent # MA00-04000K that will let light in, but there is an option for adding some light, and that's with a retractable shade (though you don't have to use the shade part) that has LEDs:

- MaxxShade Plus Retractable RV Roof Vent Shade w/ LEDs # MA00-03901

The # MA00-03901 will replace your MaxxFan's garnish and while it can open and close as a shade, that's not what you'd be using it for, what you'd use it for are the LEDs that it comes with to provide light. The LEDs will simply wire into your fan's 12 volt wiring to provide you the light you need.

This would be the best option we have for ensuring you always have light since there isn't a translucent cover, just White and Smoke. I have added a link below to a video review and install for you to check out as well if you'd like to take a look.
